    IIMUN (International Indian Model of United Nations) 2018


    Saffron Public School organizes International Indian Model of United Nations Chapter Phagwara - 2018
    Saffron Public School hosted the IIMUN which is based on and supported by the world famous organization of UNO. It was inaugurated by Director General of IIMUN, Saalik Ahmed and Secretary Neeraj Dubey, Vice Chair-person of Saffron Public school, Mrs. Inderjit Kaur, Principal, Dr. Sandeepa Sood and director, Mr. Atul Sood.

    IIMUN in itself is an organization which is entirely based on the discussion of International problems and threats, Reasons and origins of these hurdles and a constant and homogeneous suggestion for the welfare of mankind. 
    55 delegates and 15 volunteers from Saffron School participated in the event. 35 students from other schools like, State Public School Nakodar, International Sehaj Public School, Dharamshala, LBS Barnala also made their presence.
    Students lead different countries as representatives like America, France, Russia and India and brought forth the International challenges of Mental Healthcare in developing countries, Tackling the Drug Menace in the state of Punjab, Restructuring the financial model for domestic players. As a country’s Ambassador, students presented their views and opinions and offered well researched solutions which amazed the Panel and earned applause from the audience. 

    Saffronians, once again made a mark for themselves in the well prepared discussion and won the Trophy for Best Delegation. Himanshu Goel and Kehav Bhardwaj were acclaimed as Best Delegates for UNSC. Gyaneshwari Bedi and Jaideep Kaur were given High Commendance. Siddhartha Sudhir and Ashmeet Kaur came first in Verbalmation. Archita Jain won the first position in WHO and Arpita Jain won High Commendance. Rudra won Specialmation in PLA Commitee, Vinayak Sharma, Rohan Vermani and Gurnoor Singh got it for Verbalmation 
    The Platform also gave the students an opportunity to showcase their photography and journalism skills. Gurdeep Singh of Saffron Public School was awarded for his brilliance in photography.

    It was a moment of pride for the Management and The Principal of Saffron, Dr. Sandeepa Sood who appreciated and applauded the efforts the entire team of IIMUN, teachers as Well as students. The Principal of the school thanked all participants for joining in  and she encouraged all students to have more brainstorming sessions like this on major issues affecting Nature, Global issues, national issues and social evils. She also said that Saffron Public School will always be a part of IIMUN  and global issues will always be a priority for the students
