    Annual Function and Prize Distribution Event 2019

  • Saffron Public School exuberantly celebrates its 19th ANNUAL DAY and Prize Distribution Function- ‘Keish’

    Saffron Public School celebrated its Nineteenth Annual Day, ‘Kiesh’ another name for Krishna – a word that depicts, rainfall, happiness, bounty, prosperity and Joy amidst great exuberance, vibrancy and enthusiasm. This annual event marked the momentous journey of Saffronians and Alumni of the school who were invited and revered with well deserving awards for their overall performance to motivate and encourage them for all endeavours of life.

    Shri. Kishore Kumar our worthy District and Sessions Judge, Kapurthala was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on the occasion along with his wife, Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur. Other eminent dignitaries, Mr. Ajitpal Singh, Secretary Legal Service Authority, Kapurthala and Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate cum Chairman of Legal Service Authority, Phagwara, Kapurthala also graced the event with their presence.
    There was a luxurious welcome of the guests by students on horsebacks and a grand display of talent by the NCC Band. The stage was illuminated with bright floodlights and the extravagance of the display was adorned by lustrous decorations.

    Among other dignitaries, present were Chairman of Saffron Educational Trust, Mr. Manmohan Singh, Eminent Vice –Chairperson, Mrs. Inderjit Kaur, honourable Director, Mr. Atul Sood, the profound members of Saffron Educational Trust, Educational partners, distinguished guests, Principals, Media Persons, Parents and students.

    The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri. Kishore Kumar, escorted by other dignitaries, Mr. Manmohan Singh, Mrs. Inderjit Kaur, Mr. Atul Sood and The Principal, Dr. Sandeepa Sood. This entailed the bouquet presentation by The Principal who welcomed the guests and shared the School’s Annual report of the session 2018-2019.
    The Annual Report was a crisp and comprehensive description of the major highlights of the previous year. The Pinnacle of the Report was the long list of awards and achievements that the school was prized with. Sports, seminars, initiatives, proud moments and Results were the key factors that were discussed. The Principal also enlightened everyone with her vision for 2020 when Saffron would be completing its 20 years of success.
    There was a significant mention of the immense contribution towards the protection of the environment and how its imperative for humans to rely on it for survival.

    The Cultural programme comprised many enchanting and entertaining stage acts like the mesmerising Sarbat-da-bhala Shabad and a wonderful spiritual dance performance on Nrityanjali. Krishnayam was a mind-blowing depiction of the life cycle of Lord Krishna in which little boys enacted as Bal Gopals dancing with the beautiful Gopis. It was enticing to see how students were well engrossed in substantiating the Almighty and it brought about an essence of devotion. A patriotic ensemble by the name of ‘Namo Bharat’ was a captivating performance. It was so enthralling that the audience gave a standing ovation to the performers. There were other extraordinary dance performances and hip hopping by junior classes & toddlers, foot-tapping Bhangra and a Mind-blowing fashion show by the young students.

    This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble Chief Guest along with the members of Saffron Educational Trust gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school. This also comprised of awards of deserving students of the previous session which included categories like academic, sports, extracurricular activities and overall behaviour. Even toppers of individual subjects were awarded at the podium by the dignitaries.

    The Chief Guest Shri Kishore Kumar was superlative in his appreciation of the students, teachers and management for a classic programme presented. He lauded the vision and the relentless hard work of the management and the Principal for raising a prestigious school to the highest standards. He specifically mentioned that he has been to many school ceremonies and events but this one is exclusive and most well coordinated annual function he has ever witnessed which was a huge compliment for Saffron Public School. He also expressed his wish to become a child again and join a school like Saffron to relive these beautiful

    The guests revered a significant memory of the grand event and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the function.

    The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
